The former CEO of Revo has been announced as the newest addition to the British BIDs’ (Bb) Advisory Board.

Ed Cooke brings a wealth of experience of the retail and property landscape to the Board and he will provide the Board with invaluable insight into evolving global and consumer trends. Ed has recently taken on the role of Global Growth Director at Toolbox Group.

Over the past two months, the Bb Advisory Board has been meeting virtually every 2-weeks to drive the future success of Bb and to provide guidance and support to the industry during the COVID-19 emergency. It brings together industry leaders, national BID voters, wider stakeholders and property experts.

Commenting on Ed’s appointment, Nic Durston, Chair of the Bb Advisory Board and Chief Executive of South Bank Employers’ Group and South Bank BID, said “I am really pleased to be able to confirm that Ed has agreed to join the Advisory Board. His background and experience will be invaluable in helping us to provide leadership, guidance and advice to our members and the wider BID industry.”

Commenting on his appointment, Ed added “I strongly believe that coordination of often disparate and diverse interests, constraints, priorities and ownerships in urban centres vastly improves the likelihood of successful outcomes, those being the creation of vibrant and sustainable places. So I’m delighted to join the Bb Advisory Board which, as an organisation, has a huge role to play in supporting BIDs deliver these outcomes across the country.”
Professor Chris Turner, Chief Executive of Bb, also said “the Advisory Board is already playing a key role in supporting and focussing our work, including a broad suite of training courses, guidance, recovery planning and research projects. Their insight and guidance is proving vital, particularly in the current pandemic and the planned restart.’

Meet the Advisory Board here.
