IDMC is around twelve members from various backgrounds, sharing a common love of gospel music which is rooted in their faith.
The choir’s music is both infectious and inspirational, with a global message of love, hope, joy and peace.

Led by award winning musician, choir director and founder John Fisher, a 2020 recipient of the BEM (British Empire Medal). Over the last 30 years the choir has recorded nine albums and released a variety of singles containing legendary gospel soul funk classics, Soul Food, Don’t Lose Your Song, Season for Love and Walk with Me recorded live at north London’s famous Jazz Café.

John and IDMC are well celebrated, they were finalists in the BBC Songs of Praise Gospel Choir of the Year and won both Premier Gospel Radio Gospel Choir of the Year and an Urban Music Award for Best Gospel Act 2018.

As well as performing traditional gospel concerts, IDMC have performed to varying audiences all around Europe and collaborated with many high-profile artists and organisations, highlights are:

X Factor, Luciano Pavarotti, BBC, London Olympics and many more.
