A new comedy dance film featuring popular Diwali story characters from the Indian epic, the Ramayana, including interaction with the cast – live, at The Mill!

Princess Sita is missing. Rumours are afoot that the dastardly ten-headed King Ravana has something to do with her disappearance. But he better watch out, as Hanuman, a brave and intrepid Monkey Intelligence Officer, is embarking on a treacherous mission determined to locate Sita and deliver a top-secret message that promises to foil Ravana’s wicked plans.

Spy Monkey is a fun movie going experience specially designed for young audiences, with a difference! Meet the Spy Monkey film characters, uncover a secret trail, participate in Hip Hop and contemporary South Asian dance workshops and more.

If you’re wondering ‘Why does Ravana have ten heads?’, ‘Why do Hindus light lamps at Diwali?’ and, ‘What has that got to do with Rama and Sita?’ then come and find out more in this hugely entertaining event. Expect to be tickled by some unusual answers and impress your friends by naming the monsters that Hanuman, the Indian superhero-spy encounters.

Intrigued? Slip on your spy glasses, bring your dancing feet and uncover some juicy information about popular characters from the Diwali story that teachers never talk about in the classroom!
