The Woman Who Cooked Her Husband (Local Amateur)

November 24, 2021 @ 7:30 pm - November 27, 2021 @ 7:30 pm

24 - 27 November 2021 - 7.30pm

Greed and revenge served up in this dark, culinary comedy.
Hilary and Kenneth have been married for nearly 20 years. Middle-age approaches and Kenneth finds himself in the arms of another woman. Laura embodies all that is missing from his married life but Kenneth’s fling gets out of hand and his world spirals into deceit and lies. He is forced to leave Hilary. The only problem is that Laura can’t cook and Kenneth mourns the loss of his Sunday roasts. When Hilary invites them both for dinner, Kenneth has no idea what delicacies Hilary has planned

Played out against an Elvis soundscape – with beehives, brothel creepers, jiving and lots of food – the play will be performed cabaret-style and we encourage our audience to dress in 1950s costume and join in with the jiving
