Do you live in Banbury? Do you want to shop local but it’s not always possible? Now you can shop local from the comfort of your own home and put the heart back into your community.

We’re supporting our town centre businesses by partnering with the multi-award-winning digital platform We’re asking businesses to sign-up to create an online Banbury marketplace for people who want to shop local but might have to stay at home.

ShopAppy is a browsing tool with a built-in ‘Click and Collect’ service. However, due to the coronavirus, we’re putting in place a delivery solution to provide a lifeline for people in Banbury affected by the outbreak.

Banbury’s online marketplace will help you support your favourite stores and find new ones. Importantly you can get delivered what you need.

“People are worried and as part of the community, we want to do our best to help our businesses and get supplies to people in their time of need”, said Jo Holland, BID Manager for Banbury.

She added: “Now, more than ever it is important we pull together to protect our high streets and support to the communities we serve. This is a great opportunity, especially for those who do not have an eCommerce business, to make that step and keep trading.”

What can you buy?

We want to get lots of Banbury businesses on board so you can buy things like food parcels, craft and educational packs, healthcare or self-care packs. You will also be able to order ‘buy now, use later’ E-Vouchers to support restaurants and bars, hairdressers and beauty salons. Do you have a favourite Banbury store you’d like to see online? Tell them to get involved!

Are you a business wanting to get involved?

We will cover a year’s subscription cost for Banbury BID contributing businesses but welcome others to join. Are you a business in Banbury? If you are interested in joining ShopAppy in Banbury to get your business in front of local customers online, email
