We’re supporting this year’s Great British Spring Clean, run by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy.
The 2020 national campaign runs from March 20th to April 13th. Up to 600,000 people will take action to clean up streets, parks and beaches across the country.
“First impressions count,” said Jo Holland, Banbury BID Manager.
She added: “We’ve pledged to make Banbury more vibrant and attractive for everyone. The Great British Spring Clean is a good opportunity for us to tidy up our historic market town. We’re asking individuals, businesses and the wider community of Banbury to join our clean-up campaign and demonstrate they love where they live.”
Do you love Banbury and want to make it a litter-free place? Why not ‘pledge to pick’ and join our volunteer team?
Meet our very own Wombles (Banbury BID Town Hosts Jo and Nate) on Friday, March 20th and join the town centre litter pick. We’ll be starting from Saint Mary’s Church, Horse Fair, heading down the High Street and throughout the town.
On the same day, Kärcher Center Banbury will pressure wash outside and around the Church. Over the three-week period, Parsons Street, Market Square and the bus station will also be treated to a hose down.
