Feeling blue about so many cancelled events? Well our winter light displays can be enjoyed even during lockdown!
- Remembrance, November 1st – November 15th
- Winter lights, November 18th – December 28th
- New Year, December 29th – January 5th
Our stunning light displays are free, showing daily from dusk until late and are a great reason to be in Banbury.
We are working alongside Banbury Town Council with support from our contributing members to deliver these events.
Banbury Town Council and Banbury BID would like to give special thanks to Timpson, Brown & Co, and Castle Quay Shopping Centre who made these light displays possible by allowing us to use their premises.

Remembrance and winter lights
The light projections will arrive in November at the Town Hall for Remembrance then moving on to Cornhill Exchange near the Castle Quay Shopping Centre, Market Place entrance until December 28. Expect imaginative scenes and seasonal music as you experience Banbury.
Welcome in a bright New Year
As we say goodbye to Christmas we look forward to a new beginning. From December 29 until January 5, be prepared for fireworks and faces of local heroes to appear once again on the Cornhill Exchange as we welcome in 2021 in a positive light.
Be the reason Banbury shines this winter
2020 has highlighted how much we care about our loved ones, our town and our neighbours. Enjoy the displays as you shop late afternoon, finish work or experience Banbury at nighttime, helping to support our local businesses.
Together, let’s keep the light shining in Banbury this winter.
